"The Sorcerer's Island" -(#1 & #2) LAF

Sometimes, I find it really difficult to be objective about my work. Consider this one; there's a storm going on, obviously. But do I use the rain effect or not? It seems like a distraction from the image. But I'm able to control the rain's "density" and the angle at which it's falling. I can even make the rain fall up if I wanted (just like Forrest Gump!).

Opinions are appreciated. Posted by Picasa

The silver floating island thingies are sentinals. They help protect the island. Despite their appearance they are intelligent beings, only slightly smarter than a dog. They can use minor forms of magic. When the Sorcerer is brewing up a big project, he will use these things to amplify his powers. He could also use one as personal transportation.

Luke,

I think both are FANTABULOUS!

The 1st one shows that somethings brewing for awhile until it over boils in the 2nd one.

That's what I see, kiddo! What do you think?
